The days leading up to Mother’s Day are difficult for our Children, they see the advertisements and know about the plans their friends are making but they also know that they are not alone. A friend of mine, a mom who has seen tragedy, shared with me that, “there are probably more moms and children who struggle with this day than fit into the greeting card model.” I asked our children to think of a good memory of their Mom and enjoy that memory rather than struggle with the pain.
