Saturday marked Hannah's 16th Birthday. Important anniversaries create a mixture of celebration and pain. I find it important to respect the pain of missing Kathie, yet work toward the celebration of the event. Doing my best is acceptable to our children but knowing that I am attempting to bring their Mother's touch to the event is also important. February 28th Andy turned 30, so we have much to celebrate. On March 5 I have a notation in my devotional book, My Utmost for His Highest of "six months." I wrote that seven years ago and highlighted: "Joy comes from seeing the complete fulfillment of the specific purpose for which I was created and born again, not from successfully doing something of my own choosing. The joy our Lord experienced came from doing what the Father sent Him to do. And He says to us, “As the Father has sent Me, I also send you” ( John 20:21 ).
