August 7th marked the 7th Anniversary of our move from Sharp Coronado to Care Meridian in Escondido. The care Kathie has received is exceptional and the staff has been very responsive to any health concerns during our time there. The Activity Director coordinated events, day-trips and at the end of the month there will be a Luau (they got me to dance with the hula dancers last year). She is a christian who prays for each of the residents as well as caring for them daily. We both have been blessed by our years there. This week I assisted as Kathie got her haircut, I was talking to the hairdresser and reminded her that she has also been cutting Kathie's hair for the last 7 years. When we were preparing to leave Coronado Hospital, she came to cut Kathie's hair in preparation to the move. We were discussing the age of her daughter (17 then) who came to assist her.
