Tuesday I was very disappointed to find out that Kathie’s throat surgery, a surgery I have been interested in since February 16, 2008 when I first began “capping” her trach, will be postponed until later in May. A postponement may not sound like that big a deal but I have been waiting to complete this task for over two years. Emotionally, news like this “takes the wind out of my sails....
