APRIL 29, 2011

Today I’m taking a trip to Sea World with Kathie and Care Meridian. I want to share with you today the lyrics to a song and an Oswald Chambers devotion that has reminded me that in our daily struggle(s), I believe in a God who is in control of my Uncertainty.

Gracious Uncertainty from My Utmost for His Highest, April 29.

. . . it has not yet been revealed what we shall be . . . 1 John 3:2

“Our natural inclination is to be so precise—trying always to forecast accurately what will happen next—that we look upon uncertainty as a bad thing. We think that we must reach some predetermined goal, but that is not the nature of the spiritual life...

Certainty is the mark of the commonsense life—gracious uncertainty is the mark of the spiritual life… We are not uncertain of God, just uncertain of what He is going to do next… Leave everything to Him and it will be gloriously and graciously uncertain how He will come in—but you can be certain that He will come. Remain faithful to Him.”

"Arms That Hold The Universe" performed by 33Miles, written by Steve Fee

I know it seems like this could be the darkest day you’ve known

But believe you me, the God of strength will never let you go

He will overcome, I know

And the arms that hold the universe are holding you tonight

You can rest inside, it’s gonna be alright

And the voice that calmed the raging sea is calling you His child

So be still and know He’s in control

He will never let you go

Through many dangers, toils, and snares you have already come

His grace has brought you safe this far, and His grace will lead you home

CHORUS

You can hope, you can rise, you can stand

He’s still got the whole world in His hands

You can hope, you can rise, you can stand

He’s still got the whole world, the whole world in His hands

CHORUS

He’s still got the whole world in His hands

In his hands, yeah

He’s still got the whole world in His hands

"Remain faithful to Him,"

  1. Our pastor reminded us today that Jesus tells us how much he loves us by spreading his armes out on the Cross and saying to each of us:

    "I love you THIS much!!!"

It is comforting that those Arms have done for The Whole World!! Amen!!!

God Bless so much, from Pennsylvania!
