Last week I participated in cutting, coloring and washing Kathie's hair. This task was at the end of my work-week and I was worn out. I gave it my best effort and supported the hairdresser then clean up afterwards while Kathie was being put back in her bed. When I arrived in her room, she looked beautiful, her hair was worth the work, but her demeanor was relaxed, she looked at me as I crossed her vision and she looked absolutely beautiful. The tension of the week was gone and I enjoyed getting nose-to-nose with her and letting her know just how pretty she is. The moment was a blessings for both of us.

This week we said good-bye to our retiring masseuse and welcomed a new masseuse. Way back when we were at Coronado Hospital, I noticed that Kathie was in different positions but always on her back in her bed. I decided that a back massage would be a good for her skin, back and overall health. I purchased a in-bed massage pillow with neck support and talked the nurses into helping me roll Kathie over on her stomach. We used a finger oximeter to measure her oxygen levels and I would give her a massage. Now years later, I am pleased that Kathie receives a weekly body massage as part of her care, she has been blessed by very caring massage therapists over the years.

Last month Kathie and I also did our Mall Trip with Care Meridian and she seemed to take in the sights.

Take care,
Dave & Kathie
